Some reviews state these levers come 'used' or come with 'cracks' and 'scratches'. bought these "scratches", no scratches at all! These are tiny threads of plastic due to the plastic manufacturing process. It's like hot glue: if you move the tip quickly, a tiny thread forms. When the mold is released, a few tiny plastic threads form and stick to the sides. At the size of a human hair or less, they might look like scratches or cracks, but the product is new and durable and has no problems. Anyway , Mine are excellent and I like them very much. They're about two times thicker and wider than the thin and narrow ones that come with patch kits and tubes, and their needle hook keeps them perfectly on a given needle. Very good product. Don't use metal. as the metal can scratch your rims which can prevent a good seal on tubeless tires. It is great.
