It's been a year and a half since I bought this lens and it's such a disappointment that it just sits in a drawer. When the conditions (lighting) are perfect then the images are good but otherwise I found the autofocus to be slow and miss resulting in losing too many shots that I should have taken. It is not possible to focus on a moving subject. (I thought when it said "Sport" in the product name that was the main reason (I mainly shoot birds and the range is long but I find the image quality very poor at 600mm. My main lens is a Canon 100-400L) is a great one Lens and not to be compared due to the difference in price and quality, but at 400mm and a 600mm zoom it still corresponds to a much better image quality, making my Sigma more or less redundant, especially for long distance shots where the bird is far away.If close and the lighting is good then a good headshot is possible and I've had plenty of such decent shots but I didn't buy for that, I got my 100-400 for that. The autofocus also adjusts when the point of focus is on the subject and it's already in focus. Just by waiting for the right moment to take the picture and then pressing the shutter button again. Not 100% of the time, but actually et maybe 80%. I bought it because of the distance and it just doesn't work. I don't usually write reviews, especially bad ones, but I just shake my head when I look at it. I'm sitting in a drawer.
