Update 06/05/20: The seller started harassing me via email and offering me a $30 bribe to remove this review. Many people have given this item a good rating, saying it is "easy to assemble". Nothing could be further from my experience. Add to that the time, a willingness to redrill or redrill half-holes, a willingness to provide your own equipment to replace butter-cheap, soft (but very nice) fasteners that have snapped, and a willingness to re-glue the top that has come loose , while I've tried hammering fasteners that are too short through staggered holes, this thing could live as a stool. But not in my house. It goes straight into the trash (if they don't want to return it) and I'll give another manufacturer a try. I could go into detail on how even if it all matched, the overall fit and finish was sloppy and rough. But it's just not worth the time. In short, whoever builds them needs the best jigs to ensure all parts are the same size and shape every time. In addition to poor technology, the packaging is also inadequate. Half of the equipment was ripped out of the bag and lay loose in the box. The thin plastic wrapping around the whole set was also torn. And the box is not sealed with tape, just closed with latches. I'm really surprised I got all the details. As a craftsman, I collect things like this all the time. I'm used to dealing with questionable quality, stupid instructions and poor build quality. This is the first time I've seen something that was literally impossible to put together. With the supplied pieces of wood I was able to build the stool. But as delivered what I received is not a disassembled stool. This is a starter kit.
