So I have an 8 month old male Chinese Shar Pei who is acting like a feral child outside the home. I've used the martingale type before and just couldn't get any other as it grew. I had the suspension and just stuck with it as I had it, but I'm glad I decided to go back to it. I just read the reviews and really thought it would help. He pulls hard and tries to move forward. Overall a really good collar and I love that it's 1.5 inches thick. When we go for a walk, he tugs or tries to run after a cat or other dog. I just pull the leash and check it. I'm a large size and it was adjusted to the smallest and as you can see in the photos I can get my hand in but it can't come out.
