This is a great improvement for hard flat chairs like dining room chairs, wooden chairs, benches, etc, but make sure to measure your chair first to see if this size is right for you. For fancy computer office chairs that have raised cushion sides, I found this product was still useful, but didn't achieve the same 100% comfort improvement that I experienced using this product on flat dining room chairs. which I mostly attribute to the fact many office chairs are sooooo long (from the front to the back) that you won't easily find a cushion that will completely cover your office chair. I didn't have issue with the cushion sliding, it has a textured faux leather bottom that helps keep it steady. I did not test this product in a car.
