The engineers behind them are second to none. Unfortunately, probably because of the managers and CEOs, this was done as cheaply as possible. First, the font size on the display is about 1 point. If you don't have the vision of a 10-year-old, forget it. And if you're over 40, reading glasses won't help either. Time to pull out the magnifying glass. Also, it's a scrolling screen that makes it difficult to read. Also, they used VFD. This is a vacuum display case. They are invisible in the sun, unreadable. VFDs are consumables too. You won't notice it day after day, but with each use they wear out and eventually fade to the point where you can't see them anymore. This was probably not the engineers' choice but the management's. The silkscreen for "input" and "output" is on the back of the device! It does not make sense! Also, it saves space up front so they can make it smaller and therefore a bit cheaper. It's actually pretty funny. You have to turn it over to see the labels on the back telling you what you have on the front. Hm? The silkscreen for the PD switch is also on the back and on the head! Or if you turn it right side up, then it's wrong. shows a simulated PD on the left when it is actually on the right. Obviously, this is another cheap tool to cut costs. I made a visual description of everything on youtube if you want to see what I'm talking about. You could have opted for an LCD large enough to be seen and seen in the sun, which would make sense. For $70 they can do a better build. It consists only of a small board inside and they probably come off the assembly line like crackers. There is nothing here that justifies the price for what you get. No banana plugs, no buttons, no dials, just a cheap little device on a single circuit board with a terrible display and ridiculous screen printing. I'm an engineer myself and I've seen this before. It makes me cook! This was probably NOT what the engineers had in mind, but decisions made by the CEO and managers to reduce costs. Such a shame.
