If your truck is level like mine, these sumo springs won't provide enough support to keep the truck level under the weight. For the weight I'm towing or hauling, the truck squats at least 1/2-3/4 inches, which isn't considered a bad thing by many, but I like to go straight. I know for a fact that the truck will squat more without them, so they definitely offer some support. The conclusion I would draw from these sumos is that they are designed to give much better results on factory rake trucks. on site. Whether that front angle is 2.25 inches (which I had before alignment) or more, its function is to support the factory leaf springs. do not carry as much weight as airbags. I ended up installing a set of ReadyAir airbags, which perform phenomenally in my graded application, while still keeping the Sumo springs on the truck. I found that the sumos definitely improved ride quality in the rear by eliminating that ground effect both loaded and unloaded. Not to mention there isn't a huge "bouncing" effect either. You don't feel them during normal driving, which is a big plus. You know they work when you see the vehicles sink to the ground in front of you, but when you come across the same dip/bump you practically skid right over it with little effect. too much pressure (e.g. by lowering and then expanding to normal length). In my case, they help protect the airbags from "over-compression" before I can deploy them or when I'm off-road. Not to mention they're something of a backup should the airbags fail completely. Generally, if your truck is level, sumo is not the best solution for keeping your truck level under the weight unless it is for comfort reasons. aforementioned. At this point I would recommend a set of airbags as they offer more room for adjustment. On the other hand, they work much better with trucks with factory rakes. If you are looking for a good set of airbags that will not affect your ride quality, ReadyAir is the right choice. They differ from the traditional dual bladder airbags offered by AirLift, Firestone and/or PacBrake. They have a single hub design to retain full travel and don't have the typical "bounce" feel/effect.
