The best thing about this software (if you want something without too much work) is its ability to show your physical, logical & virtual servers in almost real time! There are some things I don't like. For example if someone changes his MAC address or IP it will not affect my system until i restart the server which can be quite annoying for me since sometimes they do change their mac addresses/ips when moving from office space etc. so far everything has been ok but there may have better alternatives out there especially if u need more control over your environment such as VMs. Try before buy because at first glance you might think "why would anyone spend money" however after using NAproPro we realized how easy it was compared to other solutions out there!! As mentioned above the only downside is having to reboot our system each time an ip adress changed. This doesnt happen very often though but every now and then we run into issues where clients cannot connect unless we go through reboot process again. I like how easy it was to use, the customer support team has always been helpful! The software could be more intuitive for new users. Also there are some features missing from NA-TRACKER such as automatic asset tagging (e.g. VLAN or subnet) and ability to track assets by IP address rather than MAC addresses only. We're able to quickly identify which parts of our infrastructure have aged equipment in them, as well as what devices we need to replace before they become obsolete.
