Review on Woder Gen3 Q12 R Replacement Cartridge 10K S Types: Enhance Water Quality with Ease by John Hall

Simple, effective, unobtrusive

I used to have an OTC filter. I had to change the filter every year and a half. Since my new apartment cannot accommodate an OTC filter, I researched and searched for a solution that was both efficient and not cumbersome. That was it. The only downside, but that's just for me, is that I'm a renter and had to get permission and have the building manager install it and I was overcharged ($250) for the installation. This question only concerns me. But I'm so glad I have it as I lug gallons out of the store almost every day. I'm 75. In addition to the time, the effort was also a problem. I didn't want to become a member of these gallon companies because I couldn't raise them. I didn't want Britta because it was like a slow boat going to China and also the water needed to be chilled (I prefer room temperature). This one has a cylinder (does not filter fluoride) but lasts about 3 years. HOORAY. I'm considering changing the filter when the time comes because I'm not sure if I can do it or if I need to find these building vendors who are exploiters. I pray that by then there will be a simple and harmonious solution. For now I'm happy with the camper and would recommend this filter - unless you're a perfectionist and want reverse osmosis or alkaline water, that's another story! That's enough, and our city water is generally clean and controlled - but that's an extra flavor refinement and some other sort of filtering.

Pros
  • Replacement water filter
Cons
  • Expensive
