Best Electrical Solution

I have used many brands of NCV type testers over the years. I had almost everything you could buy in a big store. Southwire happened to be my last before I bought Hanmatek. All of them were quick and easy to determine performance, there was nothing fundamentally new in them (see what I did?). Then Southwire added an LED flashlight so between that and the sale they pushed me to buy it right away lol. But strangely, the flashlight is on the side away from the detection tip. Never mind, I never used it anyway haha. I've posted a photo of them for size comparison and to show you how weak the Hanmatek LED is. But in general I don't consider light because as mentioned above I will most likely never use it and that's a novelty bonus, not why I bought this tool. In terms of handling, I can give the Southwire a small advantage with the rubber grip. But overall it's such a lightweight, easy-to-use tool that I don't think it's a huge benefit. But the Hanmatek extra sensitivity setting is great! No more 110/12v switch to keep for 12v all the time. Just play with the "gears" (who thought they'd call gears? LOL) to tweak the recognition level. Check out my video as an example. Not only did it find current, it's sensitive enough to determine which wire is hot. It's pretty cool in my book. I found this with a $3 coupon so it was only $11. What theft! But knowing what I'm doing now, I'd pay the same as any other tester to get one instead.
