I love that I can snap it off and use it in the store to carry groceries - I received loads of compliments on it as it matches so well my classic Trek pink beach cruiser with the wide white-walled tires :)It is painted and metal so it is great in the rain and sturdy so it can carry a good-sized load, yet it comes off the supporting mechanism on the bile super easily with just a flip of the handles - really clever engineering.Bonus points: the color matches the color of my bike!It replaces a "faux wicker" which is code for plastic, lol, The problem with anything plastic is that UV rays degrade it and that basket literally fell apart.That will not happen with this basket!
