Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Bilstein Shock Stabilizer for GM Light Truck - Model 24029025 by Zachary Benjamin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Recommended - Huge improvement over 92,000 mile factory shocks!

05 GMC 1500 Sierra 2WD, Crewcab I just bought a truck with 92,000 miles on the odometer and it had factory shock absorbers on all four corners (blue). I don't know how the truck felt from the factory, but when I bought it, driving over bumpy roads and train tracks was terrible. The truck also felt very "tired" when entering and exiting corners. bilstein 4600 (replaced front and rear) greatly improved driving on rough roads and made cornering much more stable. It still handles like a truck (oversprung in the rear, undersized in the front), but handling has been greatly improved. Installation Tip: If the top bolt/nut on the old shock is rusted and causing problems, remove the angle grinder. I struggled to keep the bolt loose by loosening the nut for 20 minutes, but it took me a lot of effort to make one turn and I had a lot of threads. I cut a hairpin with a grinder in 2 minutes.
