They were less than a year old and 8K.

They are less than a year and 8,000 miles old and have been removed. Should be returned to Bilstein under warranty. Let's see if they will endorse their products.

Wow. Now he drives straight.

2000 Silverado 2500 RWD 6.0 with front coil spring. Both stock shocks blew out and the front bounced off the road. $20 more than OEM, it's worth it. My truck feels planted. No more jumping. The ride went from rough to smooth for the 3/4 ton. Small irregularities are absorbed. Now the back side remains to be done.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Legacy model

Quality product, hard wearing

I have a Silverado Extended Cabin bed 8ft with roller door. Needless to say, suspension geometry and physics are mind-blowing compared to the shorter design. I had constant suspension problems and had original OEM shocks within a week even with shocks and springs replaced (all ball joints etc were in good condition). The Bilsteins gave me a great ride, comparable to a smaller truck. Highly recommended and worth the price.

Truck Empty or Loaded

2001 GMC Sierra 1500. This is going to be a big hit front and back IF. You drove an empty truck. I have a bed slide, covered with a Vista duvet, covered with a custom wood/stair case, Firestone airbags, 8200 lbs. on a scale fully laden with instruments. Went back to Gabriel Max Control Shocks. The Bilsteins created a driving hazard. Like a pogo stick running down the Southern California freeway. Too little compression damping and too much rebound. You are the judge, Revain is great for a…

Great for a 2002 2WD Silverado with 3 " front stem lift (no shock spacers)

I installed them on a 2002 2WD Silverado with 2" lift blocks on the rear. I can echo what others have written about the ride quality. They ensure smooth movement in cities with pits and cracks on the road. Actually I mixed the following for front and rear setup. As a data point for those looking for dimensions for a 2WD Chevy I have: Bilstein 24029025 front - I have a 3" jackscrew in the front with no spacers; This is basically the default as the spindles don't change. anglesBilstein 24186742…

Nice ride for a nice ride

My 1999 Silverado LT is like new. Actually better than new as it no longer has the problem of building a segmented highway like it used to. Stable, not rough. in the words of a Bilstein representative, "controlled". I highly recommend them. The only "problem" I had (and it really isn't a problem) was that the hardware was slightly different than the factory one. The factory had a bushing that went through the top bushings, but this one didn't. The only problem this caused was that I had to…

Recommended - Huge improvement over 92,000 mile factory shocks!

05 GMC 1500 Sierra 2WD, Crewcab I just bought a truck with 92,000 miles on the odometer and it had factory shock absorbers on all four corners (blue). I don't know how the truck felt from the factory, but when I bought it, driving over bumpy roads and train tracks was terrible. The truck also felt very "tired" when entering and exiting corners. bilstein 4600 (replaced front and rear) greatly improved driving on rough roads and made cornering much more stable. It still handles like a truck…
