Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Bilstein Shock Stabilizer for GM Light Truck - Model 24029025 by Brad Schillings

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice ride for a nice ride

My 1999 Silverado LT is like new. Actually better than new as it no longer has the problem of building a segmented highway like it used to. Stable, not rough. in the words of a Bilstein representative, "controlled". I highly recommend them. The only "problem" I had (and it really isn't a problem) was that the hardware was slightly different than the factory one. The factory had a bushing that went through the top bushings, but this one didn't. The only problem this caused was that I had to guess how tight to tighten the screw. If I had never installed such shock absorbers, it could be a bit confusing, especially since the instructions do not lack any real content. I found it interesting that the German dampers were made in the USA. but these (and also the rear 24-29032) were actually made in the USA. I found this a pleasant surprise.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Fine
