Warning: the chemical smell inside will not go away.
While I really wanted this product to carry my fresh homemade sourdough bread, unfortunately the plastic has a chemical smell that won't go away, even after over a year! If the lid and base are briefly separated from each other, neither smells. But if you put them together and take them apart after a while, the smell will be as strong as before. It's like a chemical reaction between the base and the lid, which are made of different plastics. I know it's too late to ask for a refund, but with a product intended for food use, the company should have realized this before putting it up for sale.
