I have a leather couch from Ethan Allen that is over 15 years old and has "survived" 3 boys and 8 dogs (Bernese Mountain Dogs with a relatively short lifespan of 8 years and we had 2-3 at a time). Over time, the leather of the seat was heavily worn by the crew. I checked her recovery and it was about $400-$500 for a pillow. And I really didn't want to spend 40% of the cost of a new sofa on the restoration. I just bought it to "try it out" on the couch. ie in the basement. I WAS SHOCKED BY THE RESULT and he goes back upstairs to the great room. The color isn't perfect, but it's the seating area, and honestly, it doesn't matter because of the waves and shadows. great product
