Review on Samsung Galaxy A72 (SM-A725M/DS) by Xavier Xavier ᠌

Terrible product, not worth the money at all!

This device became my fourth A-series smartphone from Samsung. And I'm very disappointed. The Samsung A-series will no longer be considered for purchase by me, because the year before last flagship is better than such torture for the same money. Even A6 on Exinos, which after 3 months of work began to require every day to clean it from supposedly third-party applications of Samsung itself, otherwise I was able to endure the "overload systems" for a year before exchanging for A70. A72 I could not stand and this in itself is an indicator of the "quality" of the device. The smartphone I'm trying to get rid of the fastest I've ever had. Coincidentally, it's also the most expensive Samsung smartphone I've ever bought. I handed over the first device a week later to the seller, as he simply began to live his own life and did not pay attention to me. Received a new similar device. So there is no marriage of the device. Here marriage, at least, parties. At the moment I am terrified trying to sell this device and I hope that a potential buyer will not ask about the stability and quality of work. I can't reply without using foul language. This is the first device for all the time I have used smartphones in general, which I repeatedly wanted to smash against the wall for the "quality" of its work, and the only thing that stopped me was the lack of another device at hand and the inability to purchase it. To say that I DO NOT RECOMMEND this device for purchase is to say nothing. It costs neither 45, nor 35, nor even 25 thousand. Its red price is 10 and all 10 is just for the sake of the brand. Just so you know that your shovel is not xiaomi or huawei. It's a shame that in 5 years from A5 (2022) for 20 thousand made of metal and glass, which faithfully could plow for 2 years and was replaced rather simply because of fatigue from the device itself, Samsung SO rolled up the A-series, what for almost twice the price tag, we got a device made of plastic and marketing, which is simply impossible to use from the word at all.

Pros
  • Unfortunately, this device does not have a single advantage that could even outweigh the entire list of its shortcomings by at least a tenth. A list that starts and ends where phone functions start and end. After all, it lays absolutely everything inside and out. But yes, for 35,000 at the time of purchase, and now all 45,000 judging by J. Market, a matte black body and cameras, which, if (and this is still a VERY big IF) can focus, you get a really good shot. Well, the front camera eye without a black rim, like last year. If for you it pays for shortcomings, you are obviously rich not only spiritually.
Cons
  • By default, this device will freeze and lag in small and large just constantly. In any usage scenario and under any load, it will simply do some kind of game every second. It seems like a lot of features are crammed. It seems like, judging purely by dry characteristics, the device is not much worse than last year's flagships . But, by God, it's better to continue judging only on paper. After all, "in reality, everything was not as it really is." I will give a vivid example that can be extrapolated to everything else. These are cameras. As already written above, yes, formally there are already 4 cameras and they seem to be quite good in terms of characteristics . But there is a nuance. Do you want a clear photo without smears and noise? Be so kind as to give the process at least an hour, yes. Stabilize the device with weightlessness, set the perfect light, arrange the scene so that the air is sterile. And then, maybe, the photo will turn out. Unless, of course, the phone freezes and exits the Camera app on its own. Agree, not very convenient. Not comfortable for 35k. And so in this device with about everything. It seems to be like a processor and not Exinos, but Snap, but at the same time it works like Exinos, and Exinos is very, very, very old (terrible). It seems to be 6 gigs of operatives, not 1, but it seems to work like 0.5. It seems that there are flagship features such as an on-screen fingerprint scanner and face unlock, but you are tormented to wait until it works and just enter the code when you need it. It seems to be 90Hz, but in reality they only emphasize lags. And sooner or later a simple question will arise: "Why do I need these sufferings? For 35 thousand?" But there is no answer) If earlier the A-series was significantly cheaper than the flagships and offered a reasonable compromise, now it does not have a single advantage at all. The device constantly lags and nothing helps at all. It's heavy, it's bulky, it looks "cheap middle class" but, most importantly, it can't handle the load. Basically any load.

Do not wear without a cover, categorically. Everything else is great. I don’t use it for games, so I won’t say anything about them.
