After a 50 year break from the John Nagy kits I grew up with, I decided to get back into painting. I have experimented a lot with the products that are now available. heavy hand I had trouble "designing" things with standard charcoal as erasing the boo-boo always left a haze and never fully dissipated. These pens are great for preliminary sketches as they are easy to erase. And the broad strokes and blunt wand make for excellent shading. Great product, especially for the price.
- Grape Charcoal can be dyed, washed and lined or blocked, which can result in many tonal changes. Charcoal pencils are fired at a high temperature, making them durable, strong in color and pleasant to the touch.
