Bought this lens right after the holidays and had the opportunity to use it at a wedding and around the house and to do some astrophotography tests. The copy I received required a micro focus setting (-13 Reikan FoCal). Since then, the focus has been dead. F/1.4 is easy to work with, although the depth of field is, as expected, very shallow. In the photos of my daughter, a hair fell on her face. Autofocus caught individual hairs, but the rest of her face (about 0.5 inches behind the hairs) was noticeably out of focus. The wedding photography went great. I have a relatively fast Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 zoom and was disappointed that the 2.8 was too slow (no flash). The 20mm Sigma worked well for group and tabletop portraits and even individuals as it gave you plenty of background blur. astrophotography. I've only done a few tests, but you'll probably want to downsize this lens to 2.0/2.2 to eliminate vignetting and minimize coma. It still shows a coma, but only if you take a peek at the pixels. I find it on several test prints, I couldn't pick it up. Haven't gone hiking with this lens yet. I'll update the information as soon as I get a chance to shoot some scenery at f/8.0. *UPDATE* Took some shots in Costa Rica with this lens, unfortunately the moon was bright and bright most of the time. I have included a night shot of the resort and ocean which I was able to capture at F2.0.
