This is a gift for a 10 year old who enjoys building with Lego. I wanted to give him the ability to create things that move and do things. His birthday is December 4th, so I can't yet tell you how much he likes it.

It was awesome. There were no instructions. In fact, the set came in a transparent bag thrown into another order box. I almost burst into tears because we missed him twice in the search. But this is a very cool set.

I bought this set and the Lego power supply so my son can get his creations moving. I found that the regular Technic parts we had were not enough for a reliable drive. The play in them (yes they wear out) would cause the gears to jump out of alignment. Also, our floors don't seem consistent with a wheel drive since cars will never go straight.
