Easy setup using google support

Once I started Wi-Fi everything was great. The connection is solid and the Wi-Fi download speeds are fast throughout the house, which was amazing. Each pod has a LAN port, which is good. I have two computers that I connect using LAN cables instead of Wi-Fi and everything works fine. I received the device in an open box, so I was a bit nervous. There were no instructions in my box so I had to search online for instructions. I was able to connect a module to an ISP modem after a little shuffling. Feel free to contact Google support for help. They'll make sure you're up and running no matter how long it takes. I ended up having to call them to get the other modules working. Here are some tips and tricks to make the setup easier for you: * First, make sure all modules are installed in the same room. It doesn't matter which module you connect to the internet for (main unit).- Make sure you set up only one module at a time.- First download the Google Wi-Fi app on your phone or tablet.- Open the app To start setting up, if the app asks to search for devices, don't click "Next" yet. This is when you plug in the module you want to configure. - Plug in the module, the device will turn on, at first you can see a continuous blue light. This is the first step, a solid blue light means it has been reset. Note: Setup can take up to 10 minutes so be patient, I wasn't there so I called customer service. If the device has relatively slow blue pulses, press "Next" in the app. to search for Google devices.- Follow the in-app instructions to complete setup.- After setup, the device will be solid white.- Then click "Add to Network", repeat the setup steps above , connect the device and wait for slow blue pulses, click find devices, select the room where you want them to be and wait for the white light. Once the white light is on, turn off the device and place it in the room where you plan to place it. As soon as you plug it back in, it will automatically connect since you already have it installed in the main unit space. Another thing I learned is that you can have two separate networks, your main network and your guest network. It's not possible to separate networks by radio band, i.e. 5GHz vs 2.4GHz, so your main and guest networks could potentially be using 2.4 or 5GHz. A neat feature of Google Wi-Fi is that when devices connect to Wi-Fi, they automatically connect to the best radio frequency band for it, no matter what network they're on. This saves you the guesswork. So all those WiFi-enabled kitchen helpers that require 2.4 GHz should work perfectly without having to manually select the desired radio frequency band. I'm glad I called support. I'm a techie and I had a hard time figuring this out on my own. I almost got it together and sent it back. After 2 hours of fighting I gave up and contacted the support team, they were friendly and patient. If you follow my advice and recommendations above, you shouldn't have any problems. Remember to be patient, give each device up to 10 minutes before hitting the reset button and unplugging it. If you want to reset it, you have to press the button, unplug and plug it in again, and then release the button. I hope this long review will be helpful to someone.
