Pretty cool compared to more traditional models. The batteries are included, which is great. I hate it when electronics don't come with the necessary parts! Remember to remove the plastic wrap from the batteries. The interface is relatively simple. You simply light it up with a measuring cup or container on it, fill it up and the scale updates as you pour. My resin came out right so I'm guessing your cake did too.
