The shorter version has a larger circumference to fit the taller crossbars
I bought a REALTRUCK TracRac universal truck rack to transport my kayaks. I bought COR pads to alleviate the strain. The crossbar of the rack is 10 inches in circumference. I tried using a 27" COR pad that doesn't catch on the velcro when wrapped around the crossbar. I then bought a 19" shorter version that could wrap around the crossbar to hook the velcro. The resulting shorter version is perfect for my use.
