Easy installation, the hardest part was removing the old handle. Put this on a 10 year old Specialized 29er and it will break! Breathing life back into an old bike that luckily had things like disc brakes and a trigger switch. I would recommend having a little mechanical/biking knowledge and a good dose of patience as there is a bit of troubleshooting involved with any DIY job. . I had to use an MTB chainring adapter and put on a <42t chainring (currently 38t) to clear the frame, so I didn't use the stock chainring. I also had to fiddle with the brake sensors to cycle the motor on and off when braking and releasing. It took about 4-5 hours in total to go from work bike to work e-bike. With a 20Ah battery I crammed into the frame, it can go almost 30 miles with just the throttle. After these photos I added a tail light/turn signals, a luggage rack and soon switched to Maxxis Hookworm 29x2.5 tires for better traction and hopefully a little better top speed.
