The cable itself is very thin and flat and works but there are a few quirks. It doesn't work properly with adapters/splitters (most I've tried) regardless of whether they have 3-pin (trs) or 4-pin (trrs) connectors. Worst of all, if you have headphones (like the original Beats) with a headphone/aux jack, there's a good chance they won't work as intended. [I bought this to connect a bluetooth adapter to my headphones and use it occasionally to connect between the 3.5mm port on my headphones and my accessory male to female extension cable]. Didn't send it back as it has the perfect cord length. required to connect a DAC/amplifier for headphones or speakers.
