We tried Kandao and Owl Labs in our office. The quality of the camera with Kandao was noticeably better. The image was sharp and clear, but the owl wasn't. Camera tracking isn't perfect, but in my experience it works about 80% of the time. There are 4 different modes that you can select (on the fly) to try and find the settings you want. We tested it in a room about 20 feet wide and over 40 feet long. While the people on the other end had to talk a little, Kandao was able to pick him up and point the camera at the person. Pretty impressive. It took about 2-3 seconds for the camera to focus on a person. Speak before you admit it's "worth the switch". I think it helps (in general) so people don't experience the ping pong effect. In general, the device is reliable and we are satisfied. Right now I'm trying to see if we can add wireless mics to help with large rooms.
