When I bought this drive I wasn't really concerned about the quality because 'if it works, it works' right? Obviously not. I have never used such a slow drive. It has trouble reading a CD at 1x speed, often stalling just listening. However, it sounds just as loud as a 50x trip. It takes a long time to extract and most of the time it just ignores your wishes. The tray is thin and feels terrible, even sagging unevenly when you close it depending on how the outer shell is bent straight. There's a central spindle that you have to click the disk onto, which has the side effect of having to use some force to remove the disk later. Oh, and good luck finding a flat spot to put this thing down. The built-in (non-detachable) USB-C/USB-A combo cable is only about 5 inches long β meaning I literally have to pull out the desk to use it with multiple of my computers. I mentioned that the cable comes right out of the bottom of the device and causes the whole thing to not lay flat so you have to bend the wire beyond that so it's flush enough to hopefully use without the device wobbling and destroys your hard drives. That's all I'll say (let's just pretend there aren't any fiddly "multimedia" adapters on the back). Do yourself a favor and spend a little more. This way you're actually saving money by not buying it and throwing it away before buying something better.
