EDIT 3/23/20: Well as stated in my original review, the product worked great upon arrival. After about a week of fairly average use, one of the fans (the big, black one) started getting out of sync with its speed, making occasional grinding noises, and sometimes stopping completely, unable to move, until I removed the back of the fan. laptop and scroll it several times by hand. This will launch it again, but with the same inconsistent speeds and rattling noises. At the moment I am lowering my rating to 2 stars - I will order another one if in doubt. If that doesn't work, 1 star and it's none of my business. I just installed this fan in my GS65 and it works great. The only complaint is that it runs at a slightly lower RPM than the OEM fan. This one runs at a maximum frequency of 6500 and the OEM goes up to 7200 (in my experience). I doubt this will have a huge impact on performance, but it's worth looking into if you're trying to squeeze every last frame out of your laptop. cheap and not very useful. You can handle it, but you will need a lot of patience; the screwdriver does not stick well to the fan screws. I recommend having a small Phillips screwdriver handy. Also note: no thermal paste required! You can remove the fan without fiddling with the cooling tubes. There are a few pieces of black tape that had to be removed but once removed the installation was very easy. Since this review was posted just an hour or two after installation, I can't comment on the longevity of the fan. . For the time being bright 5 stars. I will update this review if anything changes.
