Review on 💡 Aprilaire 4040 Solenoid Valve Voltage by Larry Blanco

My Aprilaire 700 has stopped working. There was no water. The solenoid did not click. The red light on the humidistat is on. Well, that turned out to be two separate problems. My outside temperature sensor was severed in early summer (Ah, that's what the cable was for!). Fixed it with the replacement part and now the solenoid. It was recommended to check the voltage (24V) on the yellow wires going to the solenoid, but I took the chance and replaced the solenoid. Bingo, it works ie. presses, but the water still does not appear. I checked again, and the main seat valve didn't open enough for me. Also a note: check the Aprilaire pump speed - as I have a blue hole on the outlet hose it says you should drain a liter of water in 2.5 minutes. Much luck.
