This system is not idiot-proof, it takes a little technical knowledge and fiddling around (no complete user manual available), but it works. Mount your cameras, connect all the cables, add a monitor (DVI or HDMI), and you've got a surveillance system. Add a HDD and you can do constant video recording (haven't done this yet). The smartphone app, and especially PC access (seems only uses Windows Internet Explorer) takes a little persistence but I can use them (seems their server is a bit flaky). Day vision is mediocre and night vision poor. The alarms also are primitive (and require some fiddling with less-secure email permissions) and seem pretty useless (too easily triggered by small movements and changing light). The good news is that they do have technical help (via email and USA SMS) and have answered my questions (though sometimes with generic answers) and even helped reset the password when I couldn't login. Cloud security is suspect and I don't like that the phone app required my location.
