Bought to add SATA controller ports to an old Power Mac G4 system as I thought I could get some spare SATA drives on this one use system. Mac OS X's System Profiler didn't detect any additional SATA ports or even an installed PCI card, so I gave up on the Mac at that point, believing it wouldn't work. On another Linux/Win 7 system, the card prints a message at boot (indicating that the card is working), but Linux does not recognize the PCI card or additional SATA ports. I didn't even bother with Windows 7 because by then I had decided to return it as I couldn't get it to work on the system I bought it for. Probably works as advertised but don't know so can't test it.
