Better wedge than stone

I didn't even know they existed until I saw my neighbor using them on a tandem axle camper trailer. I have a 20 foot dump truck that is used for a variety of purposes and my version of the chock has always been a rock or small log. The problem is if the trailer is on level ground and you only jack up the rear wheel it can roll forward and then if you jack up both the front and rear wheels you will still experience a lot of shaking when you are on the trailers are located or while loading. Well, these jacks (almost like scissor jacks) solve that problem and make the trailer rock solid. No swaying, no shifting, and no searching for rocks or logs to secure the trailer. Their construction (jack? clamps?) is very solid and unfolds quickly with the wrench provided. I've looked at another version that has a solid piece of metal (like a crescent moon) on each side, but I think this design with 4 separate legs is much better and allows for more flexibility in placement between the wheels. It was one of those things where the lightbulb went out when I saw it and now that I've used it I'd feel lost using anything else. The only downside is that they're quite heavy so you'll need somewhere to store them when not in use, but the benefits far outweigh the hassle of storing them. Highly recommended.
