Review on FJSa K22 HDA Carburetor Rebuild Diaphragm by Tom Plowman

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Major problems with kit components

Kits are incomplete, do not include Welch connector and items required for each rebuild/rebuild. The metering diaphragm is manufactured in reverse order to the OEM component, so the diaphragm must be installed upside down from the OEM design to fit properly in the carburetor body. The metering spring is a few millimeters longer than the OEM spring and contains more coils than the OEM spring. The changed length of the spring has a significant impact on the function of the dosing diaphragm. I have been redesigning small engine carburetors for 35 years and this product is guaranteed to cause engine problems when fitted to a Walbro HDA carburetor.

Pros
  • Carburetor and parts
Cons
  • Poorly designed
