4 is really nice when the subject is close to you and in the background.
This lens is not your usual small and light 50mm lens. It's strong and heavy, but the result is sharp and clear focus. F1.4 is really great when the subject is close to you and the background gets blurry. Love it. I wish they had a 35mm version too.
