At $20 a glass these glasses should be a lot better. The bowl, stem and base are machined separately and then fused together. The result is clumsy and unattractive. Then there is the problem of the inconsistency of one glass with another. Especially the different shell shapes. The glasses are cheaply made and look neat. I think Riedel's reputation is nothing but hype. If they are willing to put their name on such a bad product and charge so much for it, that tells you all you need to know about their philosophy.
