I bought these to clean an old dusty house I'm renovating. They came in handy, especially when dusting ceiling fans. Before that, I was wiping the dust with a broom and just throwing old dirt and dust in my face. They "suck" in the dust without spreading it everywhere. Ideal for allergy sufferers or cleaning in general. Cleaning was easy enough, as simple as a quick tap on the wall outside to get most of the dust out. To remove any remaining dirt you can remove the top from them and wash them and they will be like new.
