This review is for aftermarket filters. This is my third or fourth experiment with them. Compared to OEM they are terrible. When new, they can only release about 20 percent of the water into the air compared to OEM filters. To add to the injury, they only release as much water into the air for about two weeks compared to two months or more for OEM filters. It may seem like you're saving a few bucks, but in reality, to increase humidity by the same amount, the cost is many times higher. In fact, the only way to get the same results is to use multiple aftermarket filter humidifiers to get the same OEM humidity increase in one unit.
