Review on ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Akasa Turing Intel 8th Generation NUC Fanless Cooling Case with Aluminium Build, IR, Heatsink, Antenna Hole, 2.5" SSD HDD Support - Model A-NUC45-M1B by Scott Goff

Now silence from my NUC

The install didn't go too bad. I first watched some installation videos on YouTube which helped me a lot. Installing very thin WiFi cables (sold separately) was a challenge. I used the eraser on the end of a pencil to snap the wires in place and that did the trick. I had to use a small piece of tape to secure the two microphones. After installation, which took about 40 minutes, my 8th Gen Bean Canyon NUC is now fanless and quiet, actually running cooler than with a standard case. I ran a CPU stress test (Prime95) for about 10 minutes and the temperature reached a relatively cool 67 degrees Celsius. I watched the 4K movie for another 10 minutes and it was still cool. It's terrible how quiet it is, but I'll probably get used to it and start taking it for granted. I'm not sure what I'll do for the encore as I can't get it down. It was a very good upgrade for my NUC. I also installed a heatsink on my M2 SSD. The case is essentially a big heatsink now, and my NUC is as heavy as a brick, but it's a nice looking piece of hardware (and so quiet).
