So far so good. The lamps are not difficult to install, just take your time. This lamp is manufactured by Hagen. They've been in the fish stock for as long as I can remember, good company. Order lightbulbs from Dr. Foster and Smith for the right lighting for your installation. Comes with metal skids that fit any 24" tank. Comes with a timer. quality reflector. Great offer. As mentioned in other reviews you must have two good lightbulbs for it to work. A bad lightbulb will put them both out. March 2016 was the purchase date, now almost September 2017. The light is getting strong. I think the light stays on a timer longer. This one works great. would buy again.
