Poor design and cheap
Very cheap design. The main reason my daughter wanted them was the tassels. They are held in the lid by a plastic disc with a plastic push button that is loosely attached to the handle. The lid does not sit flush and the white lid is visible as it hangs down to the side. When I opened the package, a set of brushes was not even attached to the mug and was dangling in the bag with the plastic mug, and the disk holding them "in place" was in the handle. I would happily pay more for durability, especially not to see them disappoint.
