Because of the C920's stellar reputation, I chose to get the shuttered version of the camera. I was under the impression that the only difference was in the curtain. In point of fact, the DeviceID is unique, and there is no need for any specialized drivers. But the most disappointing aspect is that the "native" zoom does not operate properly; you are unable to "rush into" the subject of the photo, despite the fact that this feature is present in the camera's settings. This is an absolute necessity for a camera that possesses such a large depth of field. The Internet was not able to provide any assistance, the drivers for the C920 were not appropriate, and the much-touted G Capture (or whatever it is) can not see the camera in any of the sources at all (and it also cannot operate with Aero on Win7x64; this is in the year 2022, ha ha)! Other programs that utilize the camera function quite well, by the way. A benefit is that OBS, with a little bit of shamanic manipulation of the settings, is able to modify the camera zoom through the native settings application, even though the results are skewed (you need to change the camera resolution in the OBS source and open the camera settings, it will somehow start working). It would appear that the issue is still primarily one of a software nature. The local Logitech expert kept his cool heroically while voicing "terrible" technical details (see questions about the product). As expected, there are no drivers, and the native software is messed up; this is a fiasco, guys. I'm going to make an effort to write more in the TP Logs; perhaps that will answer some of your questions. At this time, three stars are awarded just for the most important features, excluding the fact that the price has been increased. It is not worthwhile to be gouged to such an extent for such a price. It will enough if all you need to do is plug it in for it to perform properly while maintaining its high quality.
