Review on Desktop Processor: Intel Core i5 6500 3.20 GHz Quad Core Skylake, Socket LGA 1151, 6MB Cache by Vinay Souphaphong ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great quality, happy with it one hundred percent!

BCLK multiplier - 170 (4.6 GHz). Next come the dependencies. It seems that most do. For overclocking, you need a motherboard on the z170 and the presence of a bios mod for it. Overclocking nuances: 1. The built-in video core is disabled during overclocking. It doesn't matter for the gaming station. 2. AVX is actually turned off (in Lynx it gives out about 54 gigaflops). Little loss. Software for AVX is still negligible. And when the time comes for AVX, you can always switch to the K-version of the processor. 3. Temperature monitoring glitches that do not affect anything. 4. Less economical (compared to the stock mode), since the energy savers have to be turned off. However, the CPU heats up very weakly in stress tests.

Pros
  • I am writing about i5-6400 Awesome pro. Chases without problems and shamanism up to 4.6 GHz (OK, up to 4.59 GHz). In overclocking, it is on par with the i7 (non-K) of the previous generation, which, for a price of 14 thousand, I think is very good. For example, in Cinebench R15 scores 760 points in the CPU test (with DDR3 at 2022MHz).
Cons
  • In fact, no. Only the price. I would like it lower.
