Used to replace the temperature probe in Pit Boss standing smokers. My smoker literally wouldn't turn on and when I tried to start it gave a low temperature error. Obviously this is a low temperature, it hasn't started yet. Googling a lot, waiting on the phone with Pit Boss for about an hour, it turned out that many people repaired their smokers by simply replacing the temperature sensor, so I ordered that. Pit Boss's support was useless in this matter, by the way. They said the whole block needed replacing. To their credit, they sent me a whole control box for free. I ended up getting a new Pit Boss control box but didn't install it. First I tried to install this new temperature sensor. The smoker started straight away and I used it two days in a row with no problems. So now I have a new backup control box in my garage. If you're having trouble with your Pit Boss Smoker, I highly recommend replacing it first. Cheap part and easy to install (literally two screws).
