Review on ๐ŸŒซ๏ธ DeWalt OEM N126162 Miter Saw Dust Bag: Optimal Dust Collection Solution by Marcus Block

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Stupid design and pressure on the head!

So if you connect this bag to the miter saw in the direction shown on the website, the bottom edge of the bag will line up with the bin. That means when the bag is full enough, the sawdust will start to seep back into the dust bin. If you look at the photos* of DeWalt miter saws you will see that the pocket is rotated 180 degrees and the sawdust falls into the pocket. OK - no big deal, right? Simply rotate the bag 180 degrees to make it work. Ahh, but then there's that ingenious inner wire that keeps the bag from sagging - except the wire support is now along the bottom edge and DeWalt is upside down, which looks pretty silly. Now you can return it or remake the wire to hold the bag. Will it fit my DW713 Type 1 dust collector? nope The faucet is too big. I had to stretch a 3/32" 0 ring with a 1 1/2" ID to fill the gap. Tube ID 1 11/16" OD 1 3/4". It works, but what a joke. * Update January 2021: When looking at the new Dewalt miter saws, it is noticeable that some models are even shown with the pocket installed the wrong way round. (bag open). Who runs the store, checks the ads?!
