Review on Lucky Portable Sonar Fish Finder: Waterproof Handheld Wireless Fishing Finder for Boats, Kayaks, Ice Fishing, and Sea Depths by Mark Hart

My son and grandchildren will love it!

When my son from New York visits us here by the lake in Virginia with his family, he practically lives on our dock. In fact, he once slept through the night in our deck boat on the lift. I saw him have up to four rods with line in the water at a time. His mother keeps flour and lemons in the doctor's fridge because he sometimes cooks and eats fish he just caught. We needed a second small bait cooler. He and his two boys caught bass, bass, sunfish and minke whales from our dock. I just tested the Lucky portable fish finder on the dock and found the color graphic display to be outstanding. It was easy to use as it mapped the bottom of the lake with accurate depth readings, bush locations and fish. Even after 16 years of fishing from our dock, my son and his boys now have a great new tool to add to the enjoyment of visiting grandparents on the lake. I almost bought a fish finder that works with cell phones, but then I realized that damaging an expensive cell phone wasn't a good idea. This Lucky handheld fish finder has a strap, is durable, waterproof, and good value, while my son's phone is neither.

Pros
  • Attractive lamp sonar transducer: The sonar transducer operates at 125 kHz with a beam angle of 90 degrees. The wireless sonar will beep when the sonar detects fish or schools of fish. In addition, you will receive an alert when shallow water is detected. You can put an interchangeable transparent cap on the fish finder ball that glows in the dark for you to easily find out where the fish finder ball is when you are night fishing.
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
