First of all, I'm happy with the performance and overall quality. I use it daily. However, it claims to have soft, medium, and hard food settings. The only adjustment is at the end where the pulp and fibers are discarded and I can't feel the performance impact of tightening or loosening this piece. This does not affect the speed of the auger in any way. I found it misleading but I'm done with it. Most annoyingly, it leaves marks on the countertop that look like heel marks left by shoes on the floor. I thought it was the rubber feet but they are not black. Every time I use or move it, a black powdery residue comes out of the opening at the bottom. Maybe it's just the factory and not an internal problem. It seems to get smaller and smaller over time. When I run the device over the powder or try to rub it, it smears into black specks that are difficult to wipe off. It's still annoying, although after a month of regular use it wears off and seems to be working just fine.
