Impressive film. The Ilford specifications list recommended development times for a wide range of ISOs from 400 to 12500. I recently fired at 1600 and developed in Xtol with a water wash (non-stop) - excellent results. I also shot 3200 but the graininess is much more noticeable. This is a matter of taste though - I think the development time fits both estimates. In terms of ease of use, it's nice that there's a pull tab to unroll the film while it's loading, so you don't have to dig under the tape with your fingernails. Additionally, when using the tear guides, the film opens at the ends rather than the sides like the Kodak 120. This can make it easier to keep the film intact and reuse it to protect exposed film. The box also helps, but since they are individually wrapped in small boxes, it can sometimes be more difficult to pack them into small bags. Not sure what I'm doing or the problem with the film but I think the emulsion can scratch more easily than the Tmax I usually use, like it's a little softer after washing. I use a cheap squeegee but I haven't had this problem with other films. However, I see no reason to stop the film altogether. Aside from not having another good option at this kind of film speed, it's easy enough to change your behavior to eliminate differences between films. I will definitely continue to use this film and would recommend it to anyone for medium to low light use.
