That was a great price for a thermometer and the fact that it came with extra batteries, a bottle opener and an extra 'keep it inside' sensor was what it was a bonus. I personally don't use an extended probe and didn't need one when buying a thermometer, but other cooks in the house use them when grilling and roasting meat, so I'm glad they put them to use! Also, the light helps when they're having a barbecue at night. I love that it beeps so you know when you've reached the right temperature for the protein you're cooking! I used to have to constantly look for what temperature to reach. (Additional thanks for providing a temporary log for reference). It doesn't take up much space in the kitchen and the bright orange color makes it easy to find. I definitely recommend this product!
