In my experience, there are two types of medium-sized boys' clothing. Those labeled as Medium 8 and Medium 8-10. My stepson is 8 and maybe a little short for his age so a medium size 8 pant has always been the best fit for us. They are marked as Medium 8-10 which means they are too long and a bit big. Otherwise, the material is nice, snuggly, and soft, and they're perfect for playtime. Orange lightning adds panache. As a bonus for (the stepmom) they're cute, so he looks a little more closed than in the old plain sweatpants. Overall these are good jogging pants but the sizing is not what I was hoping for. Hope that helps!
