Perfect for overcasting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidery or just in your first aid kit. This is a great deal for 12 people. At my local craft and sewing stores, they're usually around $4-$5 each. All the scissors sent were orange. I do not mind. This makes them more visible on my workbench. If, as you should be, you're concerned about accidentally stabbing yourself with them, I'd suggest keeping an elastic band to keep them closed or making a small pouch to keep them in. The supplied small plastic protection is easily lost. Since their mechanism keeps them OPEN, the chances of getting hit are pretty high.
